Today is the last day to submit Bootcamp actions
One action to reach 70 points: share a voter guide
Early voting started today for the NYC June Primary, which also means it’s the last day to complete actions and log points in the Primary Bootcamp. If you haven’t gotten to 70 points yet, it’s not too late.
Reminder: once you hit 70 points, you'll get a beautiful print by a local artist and an invitation to join the Bootcamp Awards Party on July 12.
It’s worth 70 Bootcamp points to share your voter guide (or really any voter guide)
Sharing your voter guide is my favorite Bootcamp Action. Because sharing who you're voting for (and why) is one of the most powerful things you can do. Most voters feel unsure about down-ballot races like Borough President or Comptroller. They don’t know who the candidates are, what the roles do, or how to even start researching. Your guide can help them vote with confidence.
You don’t even have to come up with your own voter guide from scratch, just forward along my voter guide or another guide that you like better.
Yes, it’s a little scary. Maybe you’re worried someone will disagree with your choices, or think you’re being pushy. Maybe you feel like your guide has to be perfectly researched and sourced. But as your Bootcamp fitness instructor, I’m here to say: courage lives just outside your comfort zone. Start small. Send it to a few friends. If you use this template email, you’re accomplishing 70 Bootcamp points in one action.
Step 1. Use this template email to send out any voter guide.
Step 2. Register for the Bootcamp if you haven’t already (link here).
Step 3. Log your points (link here).
Step 4. Check your points (Unreviewed Points here | Reviewed Points here)
Or just BCC me on your email and I’ll log the points for you! Sachi.in.nyc@gmail.com
On a roll logging points? Here’s the rest of the Primary Bootcamp Actions, many with how-to guides to make it easy.
Primary Bootcamp Top Ten
Previously, only the top 3 point-earners in the Bootcamp leaderboard were invited to the prize tea party at Gracie Mansion- but I’ve decided to open it up to the top 5! That means even more of you have a shot at sipping tea in the mayor’s house with fellow civic champs. Whether you're racing up the leaderboard or just joining in now, it's not too late to get competitive (or creative!) and claim your spot.
Right now, the top 5 are: Lenny, Natalie, Eden, Erica, and Raphael!
